Got to be Good is a platform with a goal of helping people live a good, healthy life.

If you are looking for somewhere for help in getting ripped, totally jacked bro, or Hollywood skinny, you might be in the wrong spot.

Health and quality of life is not one-size-fits-all.

Hollywood and some people in the fitness industry have led us to believe that getting “ripped” or “shredded” is the pinnacle of fitness and appearance.

Funny thing though: When I worked in a big box gym as a personal trainer, I thought for sure the people I met with would have goals of getting shredded, getting bikini ready, getting ready for a bodybuilding competition, etc. And some did.

But the majority of people had goals like:

“I just want to be able to take my kids to the park and keep up with them.”

“I’m not getting any younger, and I want to be around for my grand kids.”

“My doctor said if I don’t change I’m at risk of losing my leg.”

Other goals or “Why’s” had to do with stress, stamina, libido, erectile dysfunction, physical performance, and other things that didn’t involve photo shoots, half-naked selfies, or a mirror.

And I do not have a major issue with bodybuilding, modeling, and such. Those things take effort, drive, and dedication.

But this is a health, fitness, and lifestyle site for the rest of us.
